Plot: After the death of the Foshan Great Wing Chun kungfu master Chan Wah Shun, little Ip Man continued learning Wing Chun under his senior fellow apprentice, Ng Chun Sui. When Ip Man grew up, he left his adopted brother Ip Tin Chi to study in HK alone. Foreigners took this chance to insult and discriminate him. At that time, he met his 3rd Wing Chun master Leung Bik. Ip Man learnt different Wing Chun theories from Leung Pik which greatly improved his Wing Chun kungfu. After his return to Foshan, Ip Man fell in love with Wing Shing and confronted with great barriers. Meanwhile, Ng Chun Sui found that Ip Man's Wing Chun deviated from his traditional style which is totally unacceptable to a man strictly sticking to "origin". Non parliamo neanche del vcd di HK, tanto qualitivamente è uguale a tutti gli altri di questa generazione, ma partiamo con il film direttamente.
La pellicola parte benissimo, allenamente interessanti, combattimenti con solo un minimo di cavi ad aiutare gli attori, un Sammo Hung e un Yuen Biao in grande forma ma... non è tutto oro ciò che luccicata.
La storia non è proprio veritiera, se leggete la biografia di Ip Man (basta che andiate su wikipedia) vedrete che il writer ha lavorato parecchio di fantasia. Non abbiamo capito come mai questa scelta e ne siamo rimasti delusi.
Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo Yip Chun il quale è realmente figlio di Ip Man, veramente grandioso.
Comunque la roba peggiore è il combattimento finale tra Yuen Biao, Fan Siu Wong, Yu-Hang To ,la giapponese e i ninja. Non dico ai livelli orrendi di Ip Man 2 ma anche qua non si scherza. Veramente pessimo è dir poco!
Peccato, un'altra occasione sprecata. Dovevano continuare come l'inizio/metà pellicola invece si son sputtanati.. mah..

questo è facile che passi al FEFF quest' anno ..purtroppo un' ulteriore caduta era da aspettarsela in quanto
1-gli hanno buttati fuori a raffica
2- sono stati rielaborati per fornire " differenze" gli uni dagli altri.

pappocchia blockbuster, insomma.
Probabilmente lo prenderò lo stesso proprio per il figlio presente.

se non lo avessero sputtanato, sarebbe stata una buona pellicola, invece resta sempre meglio di Ip Man 2 (almeno per noi) ma non si farà ricordare di certo (ed è un peccato)

arrivato in Italia e appena visto sulle RAI..che dire, cito i Fiols : unm'occasione sprecata propio con i giappi ..roba da fumetti comics giuro!
però promosso l'attore che incarna IP MAN e tutto quello che ruota in torno a lui (sceneggiatura e scenografia combattimenti, wirework oriizontale tipo trivella escluso)
